Shelley Liles McBurney's Belle Meade outpost continues to mix the accessible and the eccentric with a new
show of paintings by artists Katharina Chapuis and Marc Civitarese. Chapuis' abstracts play more with light
than with color, but her work will be of interest to art-hounds who enjoyed the recent color field show at
the Frist. Civitarese' landscapes are also diffused by an otherworldly luminescence, and his dreamy funnel
clouds offer a poignant reflection on our recent nightmares.
